TSN benefits highlighted at TSN/A Conference
Real-world uses of pioneering technology on show at leading TSN conference
With the role of Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) as the enabler for the Connected Industries of the future constantly growing, the 2022 TSN/A Conference will provide a forum to showcase practical, real-world implementations. During the event, on 28th-29th September, silver sponsor the CC-Link Partner Association (CLPA) will demonstrate how the technology can address the specific needs of manufacturing. The organisation will also explore a number of practical applications leveraging the CLPA’s open TSN solution, CC-Link IE TSN.
From 28th September, the TSN/A Conference offers a unique platform to discuss the latest developments in IEEE 802.1 technology. This year, the event will focus on ‘TSN in reality’, highlighting current and planned deployments as well as emerging use cases and applications. As the first organisation to launch an open industrial Ethernet technology with TSN functions – in addition to gigabit bandwidth, the CLPA will provide key insights on the topic.
During a presentation from John Browett, General Manager at CLPA Europe, the association will demonstrate how its open network technology CC-Link IE TSN can be used to drive productivity, quality and competitiveness in a number of sectors. Examples being discussed will include how TSN can be used in a variety of disparate applications, using specific customer examples.
The presentation, taking place from 15:45 on 28th September, will also provide an overview of some of the most interesting real-world projects and applications that are leveraging CC-Link IE TSN to improve machines and processes. These are being supported by the fast-growing portfolio of compatible, certified industrial automation devices offered by leading vendors worldwide.
John Browett comments: “TSN/A Conference is a key event to stay up to date with the latest developments in TSN and its use. The role of the conference is extremely important, especially considering how the technology has quickly become essential, with many companies already starting to deploy it. Users are already reporting major advantages, as they are able to enhance their operations, reduce costs and ultimately better serve their customers. We look forward to sharing how CC-Link IE TSN has already been able to help a number of companies and other opportunities available to a broad range of industries.”
