The CLPA has used the terminology “master” and “slave” stations, where specifically slave stations are controlled by another station. We are changing the terminology of slave stations to now be called “device” stations which is more aligned with industrial automation. In the future, CLPA documentation will now be modified to use the alternate terminology of device station rather than slave station.
